MDGA Virtual Mini Dairy Goat Show
Fall 2013

Ring 2 - Katie Wolf

This is an extremely competitive lineup of Mini-Nubian Jr. Does.

Today I’m using the Intermediate Kid for Junior Champion.  She excels over all the others in body capacity, showing more width about the chest floor with a nice sweep to her rear rib resulting in plenty of power throughout.  Additionally, she is more correct in her hock angulation than the oldest doe, deeper in the forerib than the youngest doe, and has a longer more graceful neck than the senior kid.

That said, in selecting Reserve Junior Champion, I do have to go with the senior doe kid.  She excels over the second place intermediate kid in terms of general appearance, being more level across the topline, especially in the chine.  She is more smoothly blended from neck to shoulders.  She has more width and depth throughout than the junior kid, and is more correct about her hock than the yearling.

Again, a very impressive lineup of junior does!
