I have lived my
whole life in the Midwest, mostly Missouri.
I have been married for 26 years to
my high school sweetheart.
He is a Lieutenant for the metro area
police department near our rural home. I am
a mother of three children.
We have daughter who is a teacher
living in China, a son who is married and a
fabricator of elephant cages, shoots, and
corral systems, and a son who is a student
studying Aerospace Engineering.
I am an office and
business manager for a large beef ranch.
There we run about 1000 head of
cattle, and sell seed and feed to local
farmers.
Agriculture and country life is a
passion for me, and raising my own food is a
part of that.
I have always wanted
to own goats, I have loved them since I was
a young girl.
We bought
our first goats over 10 years ago. French
Alpines, Nigerian Dwarves and Mini Alpines
are the breeds we currently have.
Sharing our milk and cheese with
friends, family, and customers is all part
of the business side and the fun.
As I learned more about the
importance of quality goats, showing, and
appraisals followed.
As a result I have been asked to
judge 4-H, FFA, and unsanctioned open shows
of various sizes in country fairs for a few
years.
I enjoy meeting people, encouraging
people and seeing all the various goats
along the way.
