I have placed this class of Mini Nubian junior
doelings G, B, A, E, D, C, F, I, L, H, N, M, J, K.
I am starting this off with a doe kid in first
(G)
that has that look at me appearance.
She
is standing on a stronger set of feet and legs than
the doe in second. She is smoothly blended from her
neck into the withers. She is angular and open with
a long lean neck.
She has good bone and
width throughout.
B places over A for her sharpness, angularity,
and length of bone and body. She will yield
slight width between the hocks to the third
place doe.
A over E for her advantage in general appearance
being more smoothly blended. This kid also
deeper in the heart girth and slightly tighter
at the point of elbow than the doe standing in
4th.
E is placing over D today for her sharpness of
withers and having a more correct rear leg
angulation. She also has the slight advantage
in dairy wedge when viewed from the top and
side.
D places over C today for her levelness hips to
pins. This is a close placing and if we could
feel them, as well as watch them move they could
be flipped.
C is placing over F today for her strength and
depth of chest, as well as width through out.
She will yield to a more desired dairy wedge to
the kid standing behind her.
F over I in her turn for the width we see
between the hocks, as well as length of body.
She will yield width of chest to the doe
standing behind.
I will be placed over L for her strength, power,
and substance of body capacity. She also shows
us an advantage in spring of rear rib and depth
of barrel. She will yield overall length to the
doe behind her.
L is placed over H today for overall length of
bone as well as width of rump. She will yield
some spring of rear rib to the doe behind.
H is placing over N for the width we see between
the hocks. She will yield some power to the doe
behind.
N is placing over M today for her advantage in
dairy wedge when viewed from the top. She also
has the advantage in front end assembly with an
elbow held tighter against her body wall. She
will yield some chest width to the doe behind
her.
M will be placed over J for her advantage in
general appearance having a more level top line
and being more smoothly blended. She is also
showing more width and power in the heart girth
and is wider between the hocks. She will yield
length of bone to the doe behind.
J will place over K for an advantage she shows
today in width between her hocks, as well as
showing more openness in the escutcheon. She
also has a better set to her rear legs than the
doe behind.
The doe kid in 14th place just needs time to
grow and develop to compete today. She is to be
commended for her long lean neck and length of
body she is showing for her young age today.
