Placing 3-2-1-6-5-4
In our Mini Nubian dry yearling class, #3 is placing over #2 for
her advantages in dairy strength. She is sharper
withered, more prominent of vertebrae, more incurving in
her thigh, and carries less flesh. As for general
appearance, she is smoother blended from neck into
shoulder and shows more length and extension to brisket
as well as naturally having a more correct placement of
fore leg underneath the center of the shoulder.
She is straighter and longer over her topline and longer
and flatter in her rump.
#2 and #1 are a close placing, but I am going with the body
capacity advantage in #2. She is simply much wider
in the chest floor, deeper in her heart girth, and shows
a lot more depth to rear rib and barrel development.
#1 is placing over #6 for her advantage in general appearance.
She is less prominent at the point of shoulder.
#6 is also placing over #5 in the general apperenance category.
She is longer in the topline and flatter in her rump.
She also has a more correct placement of foreleg off the
center of the shoulder in side profile and as a result
has more extension to her brisket.
At the bottom of the class, it is a close placing, but when
reviewing points of general appearance, I do prefer the
more correct set of rear leg of #5 in comparison to #4.
#5 also stands higher at the withers than at the hips
when comparing her to #4.
