Syringa Classic Miniature Dairy Goat Show

The Syringa Classic Miniature Dairy Goat show opened on an extremely cold day the end of May.  Who would have thought there would be frost on the windshields.

It had been raining so hard there was water standing throughout the barn.  In order to keep the goats dry extra straw had to be used. The show ring had about 2" of water over at least 1/3 of the ring.  We were joking that the goat that walked calmly through the water would be the champion.

Just before the show was to start, one of the fairground worker offered to get some sand to fill in the low spots.  Here Dannette Hackman is raking the show ring smooth.  It took two scoop full of sand to give us a dry ring.
